I saw a bead crochet lariat in a magazine and thought, "I can do that", which I could have.

But why crochet when I could challenge myself with recreating a similar look with Kumihimo? 

So, many hours later in just the design phase, and using only black and white size 8 beads, this is what I came up with.

Kumihimo with beads; hand woven one bead at a time.

The finished piece is about 3' long, drapes beautifully, and can be fully knotted if desired. I will have it with me at the Hidden in the Hills Artist Studio Tour in November!
